Meet Tim & Amber Lenard!

Married At Celebrations Event Center on 3-16-2024

Back in August of 2021, Amber bought tickets to go see Hardy at the Du Quoin State Fair. Having an extra ticket and all of her friends hating country music, she didn’t know who would come with her or if she would just go alone. Tim posted on his Snap Story “Give Heaven Some Hell” by Hardy. Amber took a chance and sent a message asking if he would like to join her for the concert. He accepted and they agreed that he would pay for parking and buy a drink in exchange for the tickets. The night of the concert, Amber picked Tim up from his house and started to head towards the fairgrounds. There was an announcement that the concert was delayed due to the weather. Tim offered dinner at the local Mexican restaurant. They went in and sat down and didn’t get any kind of service. So, they decided to grab a tall boy from Roll N Up and grab some McDonalds. They sat in the parking lot talking about everything under the sun. After a while, the concert did finally happen and when it was all done, Amber drove Tim back home. They kissed and Amber went home. The following Monday was Labor Day and Amber invited Tim to hang out. Little did he know how much that day would change everything. Amber took him out on a date. They went for lunch, got ice cream on the Makanda Boardwalk, picked sunflowers at Rendleman Orchard, and finished the night by watching the sunset off of Wolf Creek. Although timing was not on their side, Tim reconnected with Amber on January 28th. They started talking more and more every day. On February 23rd, Tim said I love you. Amber didn’t say it back that day, but she knew she was falling in love as well. On March 16th, 2022, they started dating. They alternated households as best as they could but with 4 kids between the 2 of them, it was sometimes a challenge. On July 27th, they signed rental papers for their new house together. On June 11th, 2023, Tim, Amber, and Rustyn (Amber's son) went to Wisconsin to see Amber’s side of the family and explore Green Bay. Tim proposed to Amber on the sideline of Lambeau field. Without skipping a beat, she said yes.

Why did you choose to have your wedding at Celebrations Event Center?

It is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect amount of classy without being over board.

Describe your wedding day?

Everything was perfect, there were minimal issues and any issues we did have, were handled quickly and efficiently without disrupting the festivities.

What are some of your favorite wedding day memories?

Walking down the aisle and having our first look as well as honoring our lost loved ones together with everyone.

Did you DIY parts of your wedding?

Almost all of our decorations were DIY. We made our own cassette tape center pieces and took blank CD cases for another rooms center pieces.

What vendors did you hire for your wedding day?

We had Olive Garden for catering. Bundled our DJ with Celebrations and had Jon do a wonderful job. We had the Print Shop make signs. We had a family friend do our photos. We had SI Event Co for backdrops and table runners.

Was there a vendor that went above and beyond that you would recommend to your friends and family?

SI Event Co did above and beyond with a custom record vinyl wall for our very musical preference. It is still talked about!

What advice would you give to a couple who is currently planning their wedding?

Don't go into debt for a wedding. Marriage is more than just one day. Plan within the budget.

Would you recommend Celebrations Event Center and why?

Everyday! It is so beautiful and gorgeous! Everyone there was so sweet and amazing. The bartenders went above and beyond.

How has married life been?

In the time since we have been married, Amber completed her Associates and we bought a house. We are excited to be going back to Green Bay next month with all of the kids.
